The episode began with former Sith apprentice Maul manipulating the Force in order to get Ezra Bridger to lead him to his old nemesis, Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the end, Maul succeeded and faced Obi-Wan for the second time. that was one of the most DISAPPOINTING sword duels I have ever seen on the big or small screen. ![]() I found the duel disappointing and quick. ![]() Someone on Reddit claimed that the Obi-Wan v. Maul duel played out so quickly because it made clear that the Jedi Master had moved from the past (perhaps where Maul was concerned) and the former Sith apprentice had not. What do I say to that? BULLSHIT! Yes, I’m aware that Maul had remained fixated on the past and his obsession with Obi-Wan. But that did not excuse what I saw was a rushed and badly executed duel. This episode was a dramatic presentation. “Twin Suns” went out of its way to build up the two enemies’ second confrontation via the Ezra Bridger character. Yet, the moment they finally met again the duel was over within one to two minutes. I had felt as if someone - namely showrunner Dave Filoni - had sucked the life and the drama out of this encounter. What in the fuck was that? I did not need a rushed action sequence to push some message about letting go or not letting go of the past! The message could have remained intact with a longer and more dramatically satisfying duel. I also realize that many television reviewers and some STAR WARS fans were very impressed with the duel. And one of the most overrated, as far as I am … oh… my sweet Jesus I drew Mark as Athra, God of Light from The Legend of the Lost Twin, and now I’m hyperventilating □ For me, it was one of the most disappointing moments in the history of the STAR WARS franchise. Ok so seeing Mark as the God of Night re-ignited my passion for a slightly old and very on-hiatus series of mine called The Legend of the Lost Twin The Saga and reminded me that when I was thinking about what it would be like to produce the series as a tv show/YouTube series/etc, I thought it would be fucking awesome to cast Mark as Athra the Lion, God of Light and the father of the main character of the story (Nara). So with a little encouragement bc I was kinda freaked out to do this (tysm □□) I drew a rough concept of Mark as Athra. Not sure if I’m keeping the lion-ears or if he’ll have more human-looking ears in the final design, although keep in mind this is NOT a human character, far from it Name translates to “lion” in the ancient languageīrother of Saval the Tigress, Goddess of Fire Has two daughters with Misaaki, identical twin sisters Nara and Diar, and another daughter named Kea with tribe leader Mesuka Pink feather pendant is a gift from his spouse, Misaaki the Pegasus, God/Goddess of the Wind Controlled the shifts between “day” and “night” at the beginning of the universe along with Tequoti the Wolf, God of Ether And holy fuck I did not expect it to turn out like this at all I am SHOOKETH.Įlemental God of Light, hence the golden hair & blue eyes and the whole sun-themed aesthetic. Why he look like blonde Jesus the more I look at him?Īlso this is just for funsies it’s not anything that’s happening any time soon dear God I haven’t even gone to college yet there’s no way I have enough of a budget to produce a whole-ass show. I was missing Twin Saga a lot because it was the first game I invested a lot of time in and had lots of fun.
